OSDT Initiative presents poster on Scripps Ocean Acidification Real-Time (SOAR) Monitoring Project Using OSDT Andriod SensorPod at the 2014 AGU Fall Meeting.
The SOAR project is an operational ocean monitoring system developed as a collaboration between the OSDT Initiative and researchers at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. It provides continuous real-time monitoring of key ocean parameters to better understand the science of ocean acidification. The SOAR system is based on the Open Source DataTurbine and includes the OSDT SensorPod for control and communications. Funding provided by the National Science Foundation (SI2 award), the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD.
