Demonstration of DataTurbine streaming data from Kenting National Park, Taiwan and the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve, CA
The Java JRE is required to view these real-time data and video streams. An installer can be downloaded here.

It's now down due to personnel change, but we had live video from the coral reef cameras at Kenting, Taiwan due to the kind efforts of the team there. You can see a desktop video of how it looked here.(Quicktime)
We have deployed DataTurbine to acquire real-time data streams from a meteorological station deployed at the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve. Click the picture to load the JNLP (Java WebStart) file that runs the demonstration.
An Apple Quicktime movie of Santa Margarita meteorological and video data can be viewed here.
Due to time differences between your location and the remote sites, you may be accessing the real-time video streams while it is night at the deployment sites.
In this case, you may want to view historical data. To accomplish this, perform the following steps:
a. Select view->view control panel from RDV's main menu
b. The small green ball on the timeline slider can be "grabbed" with the mouse to view past moments in time.
c. Move through time using the slider until desirable images of daylight are visible in the viewer.
d. Press the play button to initiate playback from the moment that is indicated by the green ball.
Here is an image of where the sun is in relation to the world map; please note that if it's dark at Kenting or Santa Margarita then there won't be much to see.
